Throughout my nursing career I have been a Nurse Educator. I am a former Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Minnesota and currently community faculty at Metropolitan State University.

My doctoral work focused on Integrative Primary Care of which I had the pleasure to present in Galway, Ireland in 2019 at the International Integrative Nursing Symposium. I am an entrepreneur, having opened two previous completely Nurse Practitioner run wellness-focused primary care clinics in Minnesota. My latest project is opening a 100% online virtual wellness clinic that focuses on functional medicine and general wellness - Dr. Kim CNP Virtual Wellness Clinic (drkimwellness.org). I also maintain a regular practice rotation in urgent care at MedExpress Urgent Care as a MN Traveling Provider.

I am honored and excited to be serving as secretary for the MN APRN coalition! We are a smart and powerful group of professionals, and when we come together as one we are nearly unstoppable. Cheers to the future for MN APRNS!

Leah Gordon

Leah Gordon DNP, APRN, CRNA

CRNA Director

I am employed by Community Anesthesia Professionals (CAP), a company in the twin cities that provides anesthesia services for Minnesota Gastroenterology. Within that organization, I serve as the CRNA lead of pediatric care. I am a Board Member of the Minnesota Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA). I joined the MANA board to serve fellow CRNAs as an advocate for local, state; and national practice issues.

Along with that work I learned about the APRN Coalition, and have had the fantastic opportunity to serve as the newly elected secretary of this dynamic group tasked with service for all APRNs around the state. I truly hope to spend the next year of service continuing to ensure the CRNA and APRN message is positive and accurate in all circles in which it is discussed.

I feel that it is critical that we always ensure we are at the table when our practice rights and opportunities are discussed and that we are prepared to lead, serve, and advocate whenever called upon to protect the profession.
