This MN APRN Coalition Annual Member meeting will feature a full dinner , networking, annual meeting and product theater style education from Sanofi with the topic of Type 1 Diabetes Screening. Come learn about early detection of Type 1 DM and exciting new options for those patients. Network with Peers and enjoy a great dinner! We will also hold a short member meeting as well, so you can meet the Board of Directors and learn more about what the MN APRN Coalition is doing for you! Jessica R. Adkins, CNP, DNP, is co-owner of the Everyday Diabetes Center in Savannah, GA, where she also treats patients as a nurse practitioner. She obtained a Master of Science in advanced child health nursing at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL, and completed a doctorate in nursing practice at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Her specialty training and licensures include pediatric primary care nursing practice and advanced diabetes management. Type 1 diabetes in the pediatric setting is Adkins’ core clinical interest. She lectures widely on topics that include pediatric diabetes education for families and the school community; psychosocial effects of type 1 diabetes; continuous glucose monitoring; and quality improvement pediatric diabetes care. Adkins is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the Pediatric Endocrinology Nursing Society. She is also a member of the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists, where she serves as a program coordinator in diabetes education
