Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center with a 40-bed Emergency Department. It's a 330-bed medical center recognized as one of America's Top 100 Hospitals, featuring the region's only PICU and Level III NICU. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services with adult and pediatric hospitalist support.

Opportunity:

NP/PA - Emergency Medicine. This is a 0.75 FTE position working in a collaborative environment with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a well-established emergency medicine practice.

Job Details:

• Utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills to provide comprehensive care
• Manage minor emergency department patients of all ages in a 40-bed emergency department
• Perform medical procedures including wound repair, suturing, and splinting
• Provide patient education, counseling, and referrals as clinically warranted
• Conduct medical evaluations and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory and x-rays
• Work schedule: 0.75 FTE - 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Primary location in Duluth with potential outreach to Virginia, MN and Superior, WI
• Required qualifications: Emergency Medicine APP experience or completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency/Fellowship
• Education requirements: Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant from an accredited program
• Certification requirements: Current licensure as an RN and NP in Minnesota & Wisconsin or PA licensure in Minnesota & Wisconsin
• Certifications in CPR, ATLS, CALS, ACLS required
