Advocacy Action Alert

Hello Minnesota APRN Coalition members and interested folks, 

The Coalition recently published a position statement on the Department of Education's proposed exclusion of graduate nursing programs from the definition of "professional degree. This change, if enacted, will reduce the amount a graduate nursing student may borrow under a federally subsidized student loan program and will reduce the graduate workforce, especially the APRN workforce, as well as qualified future nursing faculty.  The attached "Advocacy Action Alert" outlines multiple ways to advocate on this issue. Please also check regularly, as we will alert you when the period for public comment on the proposed rules is open. 

Please take some time to advocate for APRN education degrees to be included in the Department of Education's definition of professional degrees.
