The Minnesota APRN Coalition is pleased to invite you to attend our
Spring Pharmacology Review.
This virtual streaming conference is designed to enhance the attendee's ability to prescribe and monitor patients on pharmacologic therapy. Topics such as dosing, interactions and other pharmacokinetics will be included.
Speakers have specific expertise on their topic and presentations will incorporate evidence based information and updated guidelines. Teaching methods will include lecture, case studies and discussion.
This program has been designed to meet the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) requirements for pharm credit, which is accepted by most APRN certifying bodies, including the American College of Midwives. The application is pending.
Participants will earn 7.5 contact hours (6.0 pharm)
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a LIVE event, and attendees must attend on conference day. Sessions will not be recorded.
Handouts for the presentations will be made available for download approximately 1 week prior to the conference. Participants will receive an email with instructions on how to access the handouts.
Registration Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy - The registration fee, less a $50 dollar administrative charge, is refundable only if the cancellation request is received 5 business days in advance of the conference date. The last day to request cancellation is April 5th.

The discussion will move on to cover the available inhaled and oral therapies as well as the newer monoclonal therapies for treatment of severe persistent asthma. The final wrap up will acknowledge the basic principle of taking care of patients: listening, establishing achievable goals, and utilizing the healthcare team and community to bring our patients to better health care outcomes.

Medication management of Systolic vs Diastolic Heart Failure

1.0 CE CreditHeart failure is a disease that affects over 6 million people in the United States with half of those patients experiencing a preserved ejection fraction. First the pathophysiology of heart failure will be reviewed. Evidence base for the pharmacological treatment of HFref versus HFpef is the main focus of this presentation. Finally participants will be introduced to new classifications of heart failure that take into account the heterogeneity of this disease.
